WBA First Week Reflections
Its an absolute pleasure being involved in this global space analog experiment. Overall, everything is going smoothly with the WBA mission. Just a few data anomalies, as is normal in any science project. Its all getting smoothed out. I’m keeping a spreadsheet which is like an inventory of data. In this way I can track all the files I’m being provided with, their purposes / originations, so that this can be checked off against file systems – it will also help me write up papers in the future for the methodology sections.
I also had a very nice invitation from an overseas space habitat to do more collaborations and they want to learn more about how I’m doing and designing the science. This is quite unexpected and it’s very nice to hear this kind of enthusiasm for one’s experiment. We certainly need more science around the Psych side of space flight.
although I have designed the computational analytics, it is time to put implementable python scripts into action and perform some initial tests. There is sufficient data to do this. So now is the perfect time to trial the use of OpenCV and FACS.
Onwards and Upwards!

PS: SOmething quirky – i always find myself saying “Thank you” aloud when reviewing the data artifact submissions – videos etc. Its quite LOL, but I really mean it – enjoying.
